Eva Hughes

Eva Hughes, L.Ac. holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist/herbalist and massage therapist. Eva began her education in alternative and complementary medicine in her early teens, apprenticing under two accomplished herbalist healers in the Colorado Mountains. From her training she learned not only the medicinal value of local plants and herbs, but also a way of living in harmony with nature, a way that promotes a healthy body, a balanced mind and an alignment with spirit.

Her fascination with health led her to the University of Colorado where she studied pre-med. Seeking deeper, more holistic teachings, Eva then enrolled in a four-year, master’s program at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica to study the ancient wisdom and spiritual philosophy of acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine. One of the most important aspects of her education was the art of energy cultivation through Qi Gong and meditation, which has become a foundation of her healing practice. In addition to her formal education, for over 25 years Eva has studied a wide variety of spiritual philosophies and metaphysical traditions that have furthered her understanding of the mind/body connection and assist her in helping her patients reach a higher level of health and wellness.

Eva’s unique approach to natural health incorporates an eclectic blend of therapies including acupuncture, massage, cranio-sacral therapy, nutritional and herbal counseling and the use of medicinal essential oils. Her intention as an acupuncturist is not merely to relieve a specific illness, but to help create an opening for greater awareness and an opportunity to step into truer, more radiant health.  Eva’s warmth and gentle compassion offers her patients a safe and supportive place to learn, grow and heal.
